Our first seaday started with a sunrise from our porthole balcony on a calm sunny day. I went to the Podium presentation on Norway, which was mostly about whales, while Mark and Katie went to learn how to make Cerviche. They came back in chefs hats having made cerviche from prepared ingredients and accompanied by champagne. We had a snacking lunch of pies and prawns (it was English food day in self service) in the aft pizza station overlooking the wake, in the sun - perfect. Sun on the resort deck and musical bingo filled the rest of the afternoon.
Early dinner and early night planned to wake up early for the first fjord cruise into Olden. But plans change!
OMG they certainly cranked things up a notch. The 10pm World of Chocolate was amazing, with chocolate fountains, chocolate sculptures, macarons and fancy chocolates everywhere. There were even manikins wearing chocolate dresses in the grand plaza offering photo opportunities. Free chocolate cocktails and chocolates were in abundance. The executives spent some time mingling for selfies and usies around the chocolate Apex sculpture.
